Christmas by Starlight 2015

Christmas by Starlight

Christmas by Starlight, Redlands' largest free community event, will be held on Sunday 20 December 2015 at one of our region's most iconic destinations Sirromet Winery, Mount Cotton.

Hosted by Redland City Council, this year's festivities mix cherished tradition with a summer fizz to perfectly capture an Australian Christmas.

Starring a line-up of local talent from our region as well as featuring some of Australia's finest performers and hosted by The Block's Shelley Craft, the picnic blanket community event will bring the Redlands together in the city's only winery showcasing the icons of our region from the bush to the bay.

With views stretching across Moreton Bay to North Stradbroke Island, Christmas by Starlight will deliver a festive season high to South East Queensland and help cement Redland City as the family destination in the lead up to Christmas.

The all-age family-friendly event will begin at 4pm with an afternoon of free children's activities including an animal zoo, jumping castles, rock climbing and face painting. There will be a variety of food, drink and merchandise stalls hosted by local not-for-profit community groups and licensed commercial operators.

At 5.15pm a special children's Christmas show will dazzle audiences followed by a spectacular professionally-produced carols concert. The audience will be inspired with non-stop, high energy performances from local Redlands' talent working alongside a star-studded line-up of professional artists including Darren Percival and Redland's own Mirusia, Alexa Curtis plus many more.

The event will conclude at around 8.30pm with a colourful fireworks display.
